Nicahood

Some random pictures we've been snapping.
Milkshakes and hamburgers after service one day

A common sighting here

This awesome tree :o

One of my favorite ways I've seen people spell my name on our kingdom hall cleaning schedule

Our in Service

There were two horse carriages that passed us this full through town, I think getting that much furniture in them is pretty impressive!

Erika's Study

These pictures were taken on two different days, once where my Mom went with Erika and another when Alyvia and I went. The study started with the oldest girl in these pictures, who's around 12, but once school was out the entire neighborhood of children decided they wanted to sit in.

Erika helping the studies look up scriptures

The third girl here is the one who had the study first.

There girls were all around 7 years old, just learning to read, yet when I brought the Bible over for them to follow along they all read the scripture together out loud.

Watching a Caleb video after the study. The boy holding the phone loves the study, he and the oldest girl said proudly they have been reading their Bible over their summer break and have memorized Psalms 83:18.

Erika with the group of children that had come to listen in, some had already left so there were more!

After the study some of the kids started playing with an old tire, while they played Erika started studies with some of the kid's mom and one of their older sisters! We were there over two hours between all the studies.

Alyvia

On JW.ORG there is now a print out where you can set up the camp of Israel and reenact the rebellion of Korah with little cartoon Moses and Aaron along with other Israelites you can color.

Alyvia coloring the Israelites.

Here you can see the fire that came from heaven to burn the chieftains up.

All their people.

If you want to do this project yourself here is the link to the activity: http://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/family/children/study-activities/puzzle-pieces-camp-israel/

Bonus: Alyvia learning to drive our M&M (mini motorcycle)

Mom and Erika

Alyvia with another pig, she really likes the pigs here, ever since that article in the awake a while back where a young sister had a pig for a pet, she's wanted one.

Costa Rica

Every 6 months we have to renew our visa by leaving the country for 3 days. The cheapest and closest option to do this is to hop the border to Costa Rica. We drove for an hour and a half to a beach  town called Rivas then left our car at a Brother and Sister's house, taking the bus for the next 30 minutes to the border. It took us another couple hours on the other side to get to the town we stayed in. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

In Rivas in the parking lot of Maxi Pali (a supermarket here owned by WalMart) we saw some enjoyable sights, here you can see the tail of a puppy sticking out of the guys arms, as they headed home with lots of groceries.

Can you see the teddy bear this guy brought with him?

In Costa Rica we got Papa John's pizza one night, it was delicious!

Here is what we did most of the trip.

...even though we were only two blocks from the beach :/ we're suckers for air conditioning.

Mom and Dad went to the beach at lease once a day to walk it. Alyvia and I joined once...

The area we went to was called Playa de Coco which is known for their sunsets. Can't you see why?

This is the newly dedicated Kingdom Hall (before they were meeting in the back yard of the place we stayed at) which hosts  a small English group whose first official on their own Sunday meeting we attended while we were there. We even ran into a brother Dad and I went to pioneer school with.

Bikers

Sweet little sister (Lily) gearing up for her ride home.

It is more economical to have motorcycles here, so you will see families on them. We have fit all 4 of us on our little tiny one.
Sacha went to get us all some bargain chips.

Lily was such a trooper, she helping us not to get lost :)

December is a crazy month around here, many festivals. This random parade went by our house at 5:30 the other morning. They love to be LOUD.
