We love going to the Laguna for Funday Mondays! What it is, is a Volcano that is now extinct which is filled with water. The water is somewhat salty telling us that it is somehow connected to the ocean, but no one knows how it is connected, and no one has ever been far enough down to have seen the bottom! Creepy? A little, but it is amazing so you pretty much forget that creepy factor while you are there. According to the amazing internet there have been over 230 species of birds documented there and 220 species of butterflies. Along with many fish (although I have not seen many there thank goodness!) 6 of these fish are found exclusively at this nature reserve.

When any of you guys come and visit this is definitely a place we will take you! It is only about a 30 minute trip from where we live.
